The Annual Festival of Flight is back, at the Long Beach Airport.
I arrived at the airplane show in Long Beach California a little early to get a good parking place, and so did a whole lot of other people. The line to get in went down the street, made a U turn, and back up the other side. They did let us in just a few minutes early. I was thankful for that. From standing in line during Covid I’ve found I don’t particularly care for standing in the queue and waiting to get in.
Watch the video and you can enjoy the Festival of Flight, at the Long Beach Airport without the crowds or standing in line.

After standing in line, when I did get up to the gate, security made me take some things back to the car.
Finally got in to see the airplanes. I enjoyed seeing the civilian planes and the old war planes.
I’m not an airplane expert, but I think this is a World War II Vultee Military Trainer.
There were also quite a few law enforcement helicopters and a CHP airplane. The people with the law enforcement helicopters were interesting to talk with.
.
I also enjoyed talking with the vendors. I am doing research on old water courses and streams, so talking to city building and state water was informative.
It seems that one of the main reasons for this airplane show is so children can take a look inside many of the planes. It’s mainly a family affair.
I am always amazed at how busy the food trucks are at these events. While there were a lot of people looking at the planes, the food trucks were like little cities spilling their citizens out to the attractions.
I am wishing you the very best,
Andrew
