Seabridge Park Huntington Beach, California
Seabridge Park is a hidden gem of a park in Huntington Beach, California.
After training dogs on the islands I had a little extra time to visit Seabridge Park. It’s just across the water from one of the Huntington Beach Islands.
The first thing I noticed when I pulled into a parking place was all the crows that came up to my car. They followed me for a while and after a hundred feet or so became less numerous.
I really like this local community park. It has a really nice feel to it. One of the things I was quite impressed by is the clean barbeque area. I am planning on coming back when I have more time for some outdoor cooking.
The beach at Seabridge Park is wonderful and provides the perfect ambiance for a casual get together with friends.
Next summer it would be fun to come here to do a little swimming and some underwater video. The swimming area is marked off with buoys to protect swimmers from the boats.
The playground looks like it is fun for children. Me being a big kid, I enjoyed going up on the pirate ship play area to take a look around. However I didn’t walk the rope plank. I guess I could have as they use a very soft and cushiony play surface on sand. I imagine this makes falls much less harmful.
While the play area is not that big it does have magnificent and creatively designed interactive playground equipment.
There is a good deal of parking in front of the park.
There is limited bird watching at this park, it may be a good place to see pelicans. Across the street you can find herons and egrets.
That’s it for today’s little adventure to Seabridge Park Huntington Beach, California.
